5 Tips for Staying Cyber Secure in 2019

When January approaches, everyone begins thinking about getting fit, saving more money, spending more time with family and a laundry list of other New Year’s resolutions. The world continues to get more technology and social media-focused, and it’s important that as we get more connected we must also stay safe.

Start off 2019 on the right note by following these security tips to stay safe:
  1. Secure Your Login Credentials: Make it a goal for 2019 to lock down your login information. If available, utilize the strongest authentication tools available, such as security keys or two-factor authentication. It’s also vital that you have strong usernames and passwords for your different banking, credit cards or other sites with your personal information. According to a recent study, by 2020 the number of passwords used by people and machines worldwide is estimated to grow to 300 billion. Remembering all that data is no easy feat, luckily there are tools out there that can help you manage your passwords and keep your information secure.
