PORTLAND, ME - October 13, 2014 - Winxnet, an IT outsourcing and consulting firm that meets the complete technology needs of private and public sector organizations, has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the third year in a row.
“This is an incredible honor to be named to this list for a third consecutive time,” said Chris Claudio, CEO of Winxnet. “Each year the fields get more and more competitive, and I am very proud of our company and staff for earning this well-deserved recognition once again.”
Best Places to Work in Maine is a statewide survey and awards program that was created in 2006 to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. To be considered for the award, companies must meet certain basic eligibility requirements (e.g. facility in Maine with at least 15 employees, in business at least 1 year). Then they must complete a two-phase evaluation process which includes an examination of workplace policies, practices, and demographics and a confidential employee survey to measure employee experience.
The awards program is a project of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Maine State Council and Best Companies Group. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Maine and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. Partners endorsing the program include: Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, the Maine Department of Labor, Maine HR Convention, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.
