Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Recipients of Annual Community Leadership Awards
Portland Chamber of Commerce grants CEO Chris Claudio with the Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Region award.

PORTALND, Maine - The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce will present their 161st Annual Community Leadership Awards at a gala reception, sponsored by MEMIC, on September 29, 2015 at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine. Chamber members, community leaders, elected officials, and the public are invited to attend.
The winner of this year’s Henri A. Benoit Award for Leadership in the Private Sector is Larry Wold, President of TD Bank in Maine. The Henri A. Benoit Award pays tribute to an individual in the region who has made outstanding contributions to the greater Portland community through active leadership and individual efforts in civic or charitable activities.
The Neal W. Allen Award, for Leadership in the Public Sector will be awarded to David Flanagan for his work as President of the University of Southern Maine. The Neal W. Allen Award honors public officials that have made a significant contribution to the future of greater Portland.
For Economic Development, the Robert R. Masterton Award will go to Don Gooding of the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development and Jess Knox of Olympico Strategies/ Startup Portland for their support of the regional entrepreneurial environment. The Robert R. Masterton Award celebrates efforts which enhance the overall economic climate of greater Portland.
The Portland Chamber has added a new award this year to celebrate Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Region. The inaugural award will be presented to CEO Chris Claudio, on behalf of Winxnet. Winxnet is a fast growing IT outsourcing and consulting firm headquartered in Portland, ME with offices across New England and the Southeast.
The Annual Community Leadership Awards will be presented on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the State Theatre.
