As the leading supplier of natural and organic yogurts produced without artificial growth hormones, Stonyfield Farm was challenged to ensure a steady supply of high-quality raw ingredients to keep up with surging consumer demand.
Telephone and FAX were no longer adequate means of communication between Stonyfield Farm and its vendors; a sophisticated new supplier portal and other software were needed.
Before proposing a solution, WinXnet examined the unique culture of Stonyfield Farm and the dairy industry. Only then did its programmers develop a system to automate delivery of purchase orders to vendors, allowing all parties to add critical information and interface seamlessly with manufacturing software. Today, the system processes over $100 million in transactions and transmits demand forecasts directly to suppliers.
In addition, WinXnet has developed a Production Planning Application to support the $160 million company. This application integrates with SAP to support the production planning requirements for the main manufacturing facility in New Hampshire and Distribution Centers on the west coast.
