As the leading supplier of natural and organic yogurts produced without artificial growth hormones, Stonyfield Farm sought to ensure a steady supply of high-quality raw ingredients to keep up with surging consumer demand.

 

Telephone and FAX were no longer adequate means of communication between Stonyfield Farm and its vendors; a sophisticated new supplier portal and other software were needed.

Before proposing a solution, Winxnet examined the unique culture of Stonyfield Farm and the dairy industry. After a careful review of the business requirements, its programmers developed a system to automate the delivery of purchase orders to vendors, allowing all parties to add critical information and interface seamlessly with manufacturing software. Today, the system processes over $100 million in transactions and transmits demand forecasts directly to suppliers, enabling the company to meet growing consumer demand effectively and to provide superior service to its customers.

 

Winxnet also developed a customized AJAX-based web application, the Production Planning Application, to support the $160 million company. This application integrates with SAP to support the production planning requirements for the main manufacturing facility in New Hampshire and Distribution Centers on the west coast. Winxnet tailored the Production Planning Application specifically for Stoneyfield Farm, supporting increased productivity, while also keeping it user-friendly by maintaining the look and feel of the previous application.
