Oldcastle is a leading building and construction products company in North America, operating in more than 1,700 locations with more than 50,000 employees. Oldcastle implemented Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 across their organization to improve collaboration and communication, but quickly realized that the out-of-the-box look and feel of SharePoint did not convey the "One Company" branding approach they desired. They sought to customize the product, both to match their branding and to use the MOSS 2007 personalization feature, which would allow their end users to modify the content and functionality to suit their individual preferences.
Winxnet worked closely with Oldcastle staff in Maine and Georgia from concept to implementation to deliver a tightly integrated branding solution utilizing SharePoint master pages and SharePoint Designer 2007. This solution represented the desired "One Company" branding, was highly personalized and user friendly, and met the initial goals of improving collaboration and communication.
