Portland, ME (November 10, 2009) – Winxnet and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine today announced the launch of their new website, SomeBigs.org. The new website, designed and hosted by Winxnet, provides a much needed location where people in Southern Maine can go to learn about the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Winxnet helped Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine create an easy to use website to encourage more people in Southern Maine to become involved in the program.
“During initial discussions with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine, we learned supporters wanted to use their site to do one of three things: recommend a child as a ‘little’, volunteer as a ‘big’, or donate money” said Chris Claudio, CEO of Winxnet and recently named board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.
The new website, located at somebigs.org, gives visitors an opportunity to learn more about how to support the program, donate much needed funds, sign up for their regular newsletter, support corporate sponsors and much more. Additionally, the site became easier for the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff to maintain because it put them in control over content changes. This new type of Content Management System site provides user friendly editing capabilities not previously available to the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff.
“We are very excited about our new website and the Winxnet team did an excellent job developing a site which meets all of our needs and more” said Sam Beal, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.
