SHP Acquisitions – SharePoint Intranet Site
With over 40 years of combined experience in the subsidized housing industry and a portfolio of over 6,000 subsidized housing units extending along the east coast, ever-growing real estate investment firm SHP was in need of an effective HR site for managing employee information and processes. As a result, SHP partnered with Winxnet to create a new SharePoint site to be used for intranet and document management.
Before creating the site, Winxnet performed an extensive upfront evaluation and interview process to truly understand SHP’s business needs. Throughout this process Winxnet targeted SHP employee tasks such as administrative support, property management, identifying and acquiring new properties, marketing, tracking investments and shares, and purchasing limited partnership interests to identify their site needs.
Winxnet subsequently created a complete Employee Information list on the home page of the SHP SharePoint site that can easily be filtered by the HR manager and senior regional manager. The site automates business functions for the HR department and contains employee sub-sites that can be navigated through links and tabs on the home site.
A Benefits and Medical Record document library was also created to store all employee medical records for HR access. SHP’s HR department can now manage all employee files digitally, and the files are secured so that only appropriate managers can access them. The site includes easy-to-use InfoPath forms for database entry, which tracks automatically where each employee is in the hiring process. Winxnet also created a custom application so that SHP can manage mass printing, in keeping with the user-friendliness of the new SharePoint site.
