As the largest independent mortgage company headquartered in New England, Mortgage Network needed better visibility on their data to support more informed decisions. At the same time, the IT department sought to provide the executives with an ad hoc reporting mechanism to reduce the number of new report requests from management.
Using Microsoft Analysis Services to deliver business intelligence data, Winxnet created a series of cubes: multidimentional views of aggregated production data. Used in conjunction with Excel, a tool already familiar to the end users, Winxnet delivered a Business Intelligence tool that allowed for ad hoc reporting, but did not require additional training for Mortgage Network employees. In addition, the encapsulation of Mortgage Network's vital business intelligence in cubes allows for scalability and browser-enabled delivery via SQL Reporting Services and Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007. Winxnet delivered Mortgage Network a reporting solution that not only supports better data visualization, but also increased efficiency by allowing users to produce their own reports without assistance.
