Winxnet Develops User-Friendly Intranet Site for Healthcare Organization

 

MAINE, November 7, 2011 – In support of its mission, MaineHealth is embarking on a system-wide initiative to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes by making an electronic health record accessible to providers and patients in its communities. MaineHealth’s Shared Electronic Health Record or SeHR (pronounced “share”) will make “one patient, one record” a reality across the entire healthcare system.

 

In order to achieve the widespread change needed by all employees and physicians, MaineHealth has partnered with Winxnet, a leading provider of software development solutions and systems management, for the development and implementation of a role-based Microsoft SharePoint site. The user-friendly site will be designed to deliver tailored information based on various roles within the organization, with a homepage that is relevant to all stakeholders.  The SharePoint portal will provide critical information about the SeHR rollout to physicians, nurses, front desk and other support positions, technologists, therapists, pharmacists etc. This information will include not only FAQs and training material, but information on how to best utilize the system based on the users’ role in the healthcare system,  a countdown clock function to go-live and other information that will assist with a smoother transition to the electronic health record.
